Japanese Cars Meeting - Mugello Drift Area

Ebbene ho avuto il privilegio di salire in macchina con il Pirini, durante 2 brevi ma intensi giretti del Mugellino. Ho provato a descrivere agli altri subito dopo le impressioni, ma non ho fatto altro che dire: non si può spiegare... Accelerazione spaventosa, freno a mano cattivo a poco dalla curva, e le gomme che, nonostante stesse driftando, mostravano allo stesso tempo un livello di grip mai provato, considerando che stavano combattendo contro una velocità di sbandata consistente! Se non si è capito niente, è perchè dovete provarlo... Non si puo spiegare. Grazie a Filippo, persona stupenda e oltremodo disponibile! The people behind the smoke! a NA in my future?

I'm happy to say, that next week i should buy an old '92 MX5 NA... So, i will have an NC + a NA. This NA is completely to renovate, and the entire upgrade/renewal process may take a couple of year. Some say that i'm mad, but the passion is too strong... This NA have a lot of problem: Soft Top broken, Exhaust cracked, rust to remove in some point, but the engine seems (i hope!) to be ok and it's a Long Nose. I want to use her on track and i will use her for learn to do the basic/medium manteniance. Is a '92 MX5 1.6 115Hp, Mariner Blue. No ABS, No AC, nothing... It's a dream that can come true!

Seat Leon Cupra R Lip Spoiler on MX5 NC

Nice and cheap solution for these Greek guys, who have fitted the lip spoiler of a Seat Leon Cupra R on our MX5 NC. This lip is very cheap, about 30€ and it looks not so bad. I like this solution!

Varano Track Day - my onboard - 1st November

Turno 6, gomme di legno puro con oramai 45000Km, molto traffico, qualche salvataggio dovuto in parte alle gomme e in parte a errori miei, tempi biblici a dire poco, ma non sono mai riuscito a fare un giro pulito esente da cavolate, o rallentamenti per fare passare gli altri. 2a volta in pista quindi non sono un manico... Ho cercato piu che altro di mantenere una giusta condotta e far passare in sicurezza quelli piu veloci che arrivavano da dietro, e soprattutto anche di non stare incollato al sedere di quelli davanti... Lontano anche dalle scordolate assassine... Se riuscirò ad avere una macchina solo pista ne riparleremo, di saltare per bene sui cordoli. ;-)
