Rainy Track Day, on this round of LLCC Challege 2012... Imola is one of best track in the world, together with Mugello Circuit, and it's a big emotion driving on this fabulous track. Tarmac were really slippery and drive fast, here, with those conditions require a very bad ass!

III Japanese Cars Meeting - Suviana - Part II

Indubbiamente il paradiso per ogni appassionato di motori, ho visto qui ai vari JCM le auto che ho sempre ammirato da sbarbato e che conoscevo solo ed esclusivamente tramite foto su Internet... Oramai i miei occhi hanno già consumato nelle passate edizioni le varie R34, ma ce ne è sempre una nuova che manca all'appello della mia vista! Ho potuto ammirare un NSX e delle R33 questa volta! Qualcosa di incredibile... Che bello vedere la sostanza! Altro che raduni Tannnnning dei tamarri, tra led, stereo, e astronavi alettonate... Qui oltre al meglio del japan made, c'è della sostanza nei cofani e nello stile coerente. Al di là del raduno statico, ugualmente bello, è soprattutto l'arrivo, il ritrovo all'autogrill, la strada insieme, vedere queste chicche in movimento, sentire il sound (soprattutto in galleria). Chissà cosa riserverà il futuro? Gli organizzatori, sempre molto dinamici, dovranno guardare ai prossimi eventi guardando alla crescita del numero delle auto e al fatto che magari qualcuno lo vorrebbe leggermente più dinamico. Come sentivo da varie, voci "tra la gente", tra i partecipanti, magari fuori dal paddock di qualche pista qualsiasi potrebbe essere una soluzione, dove volendo, chi vuole, può fare lavorare un po' di freni e gomme. III Japanese Cars Meeting - Suviana - Part I

Grande giornata in compagnia di altre centinaia di pazzi malati dei motori, come noi... Le auto, in questo appuntamento erano veramente tante, quasi non riuscivano a starci tutte nel parcheggione dell'evento. Per me che ho già partecipato al primo e al secondo evento, è stato visibilissimo un aumento spropositato delle auto presenti e chissà cosa riserverà il futuro, forse una location più grande e altrettanto bella? Moltissime anche le MX5 presenti che quasi, occupano un lato intero del parcheggio. Un ringraziamento allo staff, che sicuramente si è dato moltissimo da fare per organizzare questo unico evento, sempre in crescita.

Per fortuna anche il tempo ci ha dato una mano, ne caldissimo, ne freddo... Menomale! In teoria sulla giornata, fino all'ultimo c'è stato l'alone di dubbio della pioggia!

Ovviamente, questi eventi sono ricchi di situazioni e personaggi con la GGG maiuscola, che ovviamente, "chi c'era sà', come il PAZZO da rinchiudere (in simpatia ovviamente) che: "ma va FORTISSIMOOOO", chi scalda i panini, rigorosamente JDM sul motore della miatina, indubbiamente hanno quel sapore JDM che gli altri toast del chiosco non hanno, e l'impressionante serie di revving/sfiammarate di 4 paurose Subaru.

NC Service at Home! Engine Oil Replaced

Yesterday, first Service manteniance at home, on the NC... After 5 years of Mazda warranty period, is time to fuck Dexelia OEM Oil, for put into the engine a good fully sinthetic oil: Motul 8100 X-Cess 5W40. The operation has needed only a new oil filter cup wrench, because the filter was too strenght after last service in Mazda Center... If you need information about this cup wrench, search for a 15 sided, 76mm tool. And remember to buy a new oil drain plug gasket of this size: 14x20x1,5mm.

Next step: Gearbox and Differential Oil replace.

Increasing Knowledge about...

Thirst for Knowledge on this week! I've ordered some books that explain how to build a performance Miata and how to rebuild an engine. I don't know if, one day, i will be able to rebuild an engine, but reading an "how to" book, is not a bad thing. ;-)

a NA in my future?

I'm happy to say, that next week i should buy an old '92 MX5 NA... So, i will have an NC + a NA. This NA is completely to renovate, and the entire upgrade/renewal process may take a couple of year. Some say that i'm mad, but the passion is too strong... This NA have a lot of problem: Soft Top broken, Exhaust cracked, rust to remove in some point, but the engine seems (i hope!) to be ok and it's a Long Nose. I want to use her on track and i will use her for learn to do the basic/medium manteniance. Is a '92 MX5 1.6 115Hp, Mariner Blue. No ABS, No AC, nothing... It's a dream that can come true!
